Active Electronics

Brexit Strategy

To whom it may concern, 9th November 2020.

Reference Brexit Strategy.

With Brexit fast approaching I would like to advise you of Active Electronics Plc’s position, whether there is a deal or not, and the necessary steps that we’ve taken to ensure continuity of business from 1st January 2021.

(a) Our freight forwarders will continue to process customs declarations on our behalf, where applicable, from 1st January 2021.

(b) We have an Economic Operators Registration and Identification (EORI) number, 342860164000 if required. Please note on occasions a GB prefix is required.

(c) The new tariffs and duty rates have been published and these have been reviewed. At the appropriate time we have the procedures to implement the changes on our system and communicate these to the stakeholders.

(d) We have consulted and advised our employees on the implications of Brexit on the business.

(e) We have assessed the order backlog for 2021 and where the goods originate from within the E.U. we are contacting customers and suppliers individually to see if it is possible to deliver the goods in 2020 as a precaution.

(f) Please note in accordance with our standard terms and conditions there is the possibility of price increases due to freight charges and foreign exchange rate fluctuations.

(g) If any customers still have supply chain concerns, then I would encourage them to place orders now for immediate delivery.
